My windrow will not shut properly on passenger side. When you shut the door the window should slide up a little to be shut, but it will not. As a result the car thinks the door is not shut and all the lights stay on inside. The door is shut correctly with no obstructions and the electric window works fine. Please help as the whistling is driving me nuts when I am driving. Thankyou.

Well this is a forum for car advise, I have a car and I need advise. I just like to keep it in good running order as it is a good car that has done 182,000 miles and has little problems now and again.

Got it sorted. It was the door striker. There is a micro switch in it that had worn out, leaving car thinking door was still open.

Ah i see, The cars I usually work on, The "door striker" is built into the actual mechanism, i'm sure you will come across this at some point.
